Melody affects emotional and mental states. Harmony lifts consciousness. Last message we discussed rhythm and this week we will learn about the impact of melody.

Melodies affect our emotional and mental states. It can alleviate physical pain. Don't mother sing gently to calm their babies??? Though resonance she links her energies with those of her baby, relieving stress and establishing balance.

Last message we discussed the impact of musical elements:

  • Rhythm affects physical states;
  • Melody affects emotional and mental states;
  • Harmony lifts consciousness.

The week we will gather more details on how rhythms can heal!

A steady rhythm restores the body's rhythmic patterns. For example, Baroque rhythm patterns (from classical music) put the heart into a natural beating cycle.

Rhythms, Melodies and Harmony

Every cell in our body is a sound resonator. Our body systems respond to sound. The bioelectric frequencies of muscles, organs and glands in our body all respond and are affected by sound vibrations, through the process of resonance. We can stimulate preferred frequencies with our voices, instruments and sonic environments.

Sacred Sound Through the Age

Throughout the ages sacred sound (whether it is prayer, music, song mantra or incantation) is a link between humanity and the Divine. This is the oldest form of healing. It permeates the teachings of the Greeks, Chinese, East Indians, Tibetans, Egyptians, American Indians Mayas and Aztecs.

Finding Your Song

When a woman in one African tribe knows she is pregnant, she goes out into the wilderness with a few friends and together they pray and meditate until they hear the song of the child. They recognize that every soul has its own vibration that expresses its unique flavor and purpose.

Using Sound to Eliminate Pain!

Using Sound to Eliminate Pain!

Did you ever wonder why we instinctively groan when we are hurt??? or cry?? or scream when we are frightened? or why the karate master lets out a cry before he strikes???

This is the body's way of releasing pain, sadness, fear and anger. It is a powerful way to release negative energies that can accumulate, causing you health and other issues. You can intentionally use this natural mechanism to release pain, blocked subtle energy, sadness, fear and anger!

Relating Personalities, Colors and Sounds - Part II

This is our finale discussion of the nanoVoice.... Last week we discovered how colors related to personality types. In the freeware program, the nanoVoice, you record your voice and the pitches within are revealed in bar graphs. The bar graphs are colored to correspond to these personality types.

Relating Colors & Sounds!

The Personality Colors.

Our personality is like our automatic pilot, habitually processing information and making decisions in a consistent way. Our personality is made up of both traits and characteristics. Our traits are hardwired, emotional responses. "Traits are genetic coding that determines the way our brain develops and functions around mental processes, which is how we gather and process information and make decisions".
